It was accepted an International Mother Language Day by UNESCO. The day for the people of Bangladesh is very important. We remember the great sacrifices of the language martyrs. On the 21 February, 1952 our valiant sons raised their voice against the unjust declaration of the then Pakistani Ruler. They demanded that bangla should be the state language. A good number of people along with Salam, Jabbar, Rafiq, Barkat died at the spot. And on this day we used to celebrate ‘Shahid Dibas’ till 1999. The significant of the day is very great. We are proud of our mother language.
